Static Configuration

The image above shows the configurations options for this app that are accessed through the device settings system. (This image was taken from an iPad, the look of this screen will be slightly different on an iPhone or iPod Touch.) Settings on this screen are stored and are applied every time that the app starts. Some of these settings can be overridden by controls within the app, but most are only set here.

The settings are as follows:

Timer Defaults

These controls set the timing mode when the app starts

Number of Timers

The number of contestants that can be simultaneously timed. "Exactly One" is considerably less flexible than "One or More", but is simpler to use and read. This can be changed within the app.
Default: Exactly One

Look

These settings control the look of the app

Start Image

The image displayed in the start / stop button when the timer is not running

Lap Image

The image displayed in the Lap button. The lap button only appear when the timer is running

Reset Image

The image displayed in the reset button. The reset button only appears when the timer is stopped.

Stop Image

The image displayed in the start stop button when the timer is running.

Color Theme

The background color of the stopwatch screen and of various components on that screen

Sounds

These settings control sounds played by the app when timing.

Starting Sound

The sound played when any (or all) contestants start.

Lap Sound

The sound played when a contestant finishes a lap.

Finish Sound

The sound played when the clock stops for any -- or all -- contestants.
